Jehoshaphat Hinch(c)liffe - my G-G-Grandfather was baptised at Cumberworth, Huddersfield in 1791 and subsequently worked as a collier at Norcroft (between Cawthorne and Silkstone) nr. Barnsley.  Can anyone advise me of information as to when and where he died?  His parents were John and Mary Hinch(c)liffe and I would welcome help as to establishing when and where they were married.

Has anyone any information on Mary de Insliff who was apparently Prioress of Kirklees from around 1270?

Many thanks.

Was his parent John christened in Pennistone 8 March 1760, son of Jonas?

Many thanks for the response.  My calculation from a Census Return in the Cawthorne/Silkstone area was that the John Hinchliffe I have assumed may be Jehoshaphat's father would have been born a little earlier than 1760, but I may have the wrong John.  Do you have any other details about the Pennistone John? For example, do you have an occupation for Jonas?
